The IMAGE 2007 Conference, sponsored by The IMAGE Society, held 10-12 July at the Chaparral Suites Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona was an outstanding success with an increase in attendance for the 5th year in a row, three Keynote Addresses: "IMAGE Turns 30 - A Brief Look Back" by Mr. Dan Myers (FlightSafety International), "Future Trends in Visual Simulation - Technology Developments" by Mr. Philippe Perey (CAE), and "The Singularity is Near" (video presentation) by Ray Kurzweil; Hosting Organization Presentations by CAE, FlightSafety, Barco Simulation, Quantum3D, Rockwell Collins, and Sony Electronics; three days of technical papers plus a special DoD Database Standards session, several technical short courses, and an overflowing Exhibit Hall which sold-out again for the 11th year in a row. To relieve attendees from having to travel on the weekend the conference schedule was condensed into three days by a more efficient schedule eliminating slack time and thereby permitting attendees to travel on Monday and Friday.
All in all, IMAGE 2007 was an overwhelming success thanks to all of you who participated and attended this year's conference.
