On behalf of the IMAGE Society and Barco, I welcome you to IMAGE 2012 and Scottsdale, Arizona. Barco is honored to be the Prime Host for this year's 35th anniversary of the IMAGE conference. As the conference chair, I feel privileged to participate and wish to welcome you all to what promises to be the most interesting and beneficial conference since the inception of IMAGE. We expect many newcomers to join us this year, so we have worked hard to make this conference especially interesting and relevant to the technical challenges we all face today. I encourage you to arrive early enough to join us for the welcome reception on Monday evening, compliments of Barco, and then enjoy three days of valuable technical papers, panel discussions, host presentations, exhibit hall, and networking opportunities. I personally never miss IMAGE, not only because it helps me stay current on industry trends but also because of the satisfying personal relationships and goodwill that the conference fosters.
