On behalf of the IMAGE Society and CAE, I welcome you to IMAGE 2013 and Scottsdale, Arizona. CAE is honored to be the Prime Host of this important and unique technical conference focused on visual simulation and related technologies. As the conference chair, I feel privileged to participate and wish to welcome you all to what promises to be once again a valuable scientific and business exchange in our industry. We expect several newcomers to join the conference along with seasoned experts, so we have worked hard to make this conference especially interesting and relevant to the technical challenges we all face today. I encourage you to arrive early enough to join us for the welcome reception on Monday evening, compliments of CAE, and then enjoy three days of valuable technical papers, panel discussions, host presentations, exhibit hall, and networking opportunities. I have personally participated in over 15 IMAGE conferences because it helps me stay current on industry trends and helps me foster many personal relationships with industry and academia experts.
