Sony Electronics Inc. fully appreciates the need for the best imaging technology for use in state-of-the-art simulators and has worked closely with partners in the marketplace to develop products that meet that need. The VPL-GH10 SXRD™ projector is the latest result of our industry-directed development.
With its 120Hz SXRD imager, the VPL-GH10 provides built-in smear reduction using Motionflow™ technology. The operator can choose from three levels of dark-frame insertion as well as motion interpolation to achieve the desired balance of brightness and clarity in the image. Additional industrial features include a DVI connector with a positive interlock as well as an enhanced cooling system for the longer duty cycles.
Shown above is FlightSafety International Inc.'s demonstration of their Mobile Combat Crew Trainer (MCTT) outfitted with six VPL-GH10 projectors in portrait mode. The image above shows the blended output of the six projectors. In the inset picture, you can see the six Sony projectors mounted in the top of the simulator.
